Dot Bakery & Café started as a humble, unknown Instagram account, Madelienabakery, in our home kitchen in 2012. The account was barely noticeable and had few followers in the first year, yet we stuck with it because it was our passion. Orders and followers grew gradually and steadily in the following years until it outgrew what one person — still attending university then — and a home kitchen could handle. We built another kitchen at home to act as a small bakery, and after growing the team, delivered orders jumped. Ambition kept growing until 2017, when the decision came to open a one‑of‑a‑kind store in Hofuf — and that’s when Dot Bakery & Café was officially born.
Starting from zero in a home kitchen taught us the craft inside‑out. We learned the value and immediate effect of great customer service. We listened carefully to what our customers wanted and tailored the menu to their taste. For the first five years we worked alone, reading every comment: Positive feedback fueled our ambition; negative feedback became steps to improve product, delivery and service.
Even as we grew, we held onto those values. That early experience became the foundation of our culture at Dot Bakery & Café — and we’re committed to keeping it.
